WALTHAM FOREST Registered Charity No. 1048701
Improving the driving and passenger experience of people using minibuses since 2009. More than 990 individuals trained — with a D1 PSV pass rate above 75% year on year.
The Waltham Forest Community Driving School aims to improve the driving and passenger experience of people using minibuses in the course of their work and social activities — open since 2009.
The Waltham Forest Community Driving School opened in 2009 to meet a clear need — community organisations, schools, day centres and charities needed drivers who were confident, safe and skilled at transporting passengers, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.
Since opening, we have trained more than 990 individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and organisations, including teachers, youth workers, day centre drivers, SEN drivers, and individuals wishing to become passenger assistants.
Our courses are practical, accessible and affordable — designed to make professional driver training available to the whole community. Our D1 PSV training success rate is above 75% year on year.
The Waltham Forest Community Driving School is open to anyone living or working in Waltham Forest and surrounds who is interested in improving their skills in the field of minibus travel and passenger services. We have trained individuals from all of the following backgrounds:
